So somehwere along the line i missed the fact that these cats were 3" id..... But i think i kinda have a plan to still get the vbands to work.. Cut cat down to where the vband will fit inside but stick out enough to clear the v band clamp after being welded, then have the header collector go through both sides of the vband to where its dumping almost at the substrate.... Then to figure out whether to keep the current setup i have or run with this separatable xpipe idea i came up with....

Im open to ideas, criticism and anything else yall wanna throw my way on this....

 

Tryin to decide whether tonput the o2 bung in the front of the cat or just move it in the collector...

 

2nd cat came in today.... Now to get them in the truck,or should i say find the time to do so

 

No problem! pull that trans , install the converter, and do the cats at the same time...

 

Thats the plan just need time to do so.... Dont have a day off for the next 3 weeks.... 2 jobs is killing any time i have!!!!

Dropped the truck off this afternoon between jobs to have a set of tailpipes built for it to get rid of the oieced together crap that i had on it....

 

Much better!!!! Hopefully i will have my headers and cats in next week sometime..... They also went ahead and threw a bead on the front of my h pipe and at the back of my mufflers..... I really need to invest in a mig welder and not just borrowing peoples flux core crap...

 

How to pass the VA State Inspection:
1. Drive out to to at least Warrenton. The further, the better.
2. Find an inspector that doesn't give a ****.
3. Pay 16 dollars. Drink a beer.

VA State inspection sucks. I've had guys that feel for pulses at each exhaust joint and other guys that are like oh you brought a bike here is your sticker have fun.
