I haven't heard anything bad about studs. I was considering them for the easy of installation.
Use both, hah. Studs to line them up and then throw the bolts in.

I used the Thunderbolt cats when I got stuck doing my inspection on my 06 in El Paso. We trimmed the collector on the pacesetter headers back and used a 3 bolt flange between the header and cat and it was hard welded on the back. There was just enough room to get even the passenger side in before the merge. It sure helped with the smell, especially since my truck idled so choppy and toned the exhaust tone way down. Took it to the track and never lost anything.

Hey, for the money they cant be beat.

I got my v-band yesterday, cut down the rest of the cat to a total of 5.5" long. When I add the v-band it will be around 5.75" long. I'll try to get it tacked up tomorrow and snap a few shots.
