7-3/8" tall as is. I can probably take a little more material off to shorten it down some. And if you want to do a 3" out exhaust, that'll also shorten it to basically the core, hah. I'd guess it would be around 5.5" long.

I have 2.5" exhaust currently so im thinking order 2.5" cats and do what youre doing to simplify the transition..... Now to decide to run with what ive got or cut my factory y pipe and proceed with the pseudo x collector ive been dreaming up!! Concerned that my current driver side cat pipe is at too much on an angle coming out of the cat to work....

I think you'd have to order 2.25" cats if you were planning on cutting them down.
The ones I have are 2.5" and I cut them down to have a 3" inlet.
How much of an angle is it?

As far as cutting them down i need to get the headers installed and do some measuring.....
