Hey y'all, brand new to the forum and pretty excited to be talking to you and learning more about truck performance for our 6.0's 5.3's, 4.8's. and even 4.3's.
OK, so I am going to do a major mod soon because I just barely beat a Hemi ECSB (by half a car length) last night. I will have about $700-$800 dollars to spend and I want to either do:

1. ASP pulley and Gibson Super Truck Exhaust or...
2. Yank 2600 Torque Converter (BTW does this affect gas milage incredibly? I heard it does) or...
3. ASM Long Tube headers.

I know I should do them all but $$ is a problem because I am a college student. What do you guys suggest would give me the most bang for the buck?

Thanks and gig 'em!

I would say do the headers and if you could do true dual exhaust.

best bang for your buck would be a 3000 stall
gas isnt that bad, but hey if you want to go fast you have got to sacrifice.
oh and keep your foot out of the accelerater if you want good gas mileage. but I bet you want be able to if you get a 3000 stall

With limited spending, i say Nelson tune, and true duals w/ X-pipe.

And if you still have $200 left over, get the pully.

Converter would be the best bang for your buck. Get a 3000, if you buy the 2600 you will want more.

A 3000 stall would drop him what, .4-.5. And cost his whole fund.

A Nelson tune, true duals, and pully would drop him about the same, maybe a little more. These things would also be better for the street and highway play. IMO

yank 3000 is my vote, a stall is a blast to drive on the street or highway, they are just plain fun. highway miliage wont change at all, around town would probably drop some though.

I say get the Yank TT3000. I got .4 from mine at the track. It takes a little getting used to, but once you learn how to drive it you really can notice a big difference.

The Yank 3000 is the best bang for the buck,it won't hurt gas milage, but your right foot will when you want to experience the Yank's added performance again and again.Don't bother with the 2600 the 3000 is a perfect match for our drivetrains. It will feel and perform like you've added 50hp.
