Its not the FI that kills trannys, its power and driving habits. A stock truck can toast a tranny doing burnouts and revving it in nuetral and then dumping it into gear or excessive towing. How and at what RPM the power is delivered also plays a part. My truck for instance makes less power down low as opposed to a Radix that can make a ton more down low but much less up high (compared to my bigger T trim centrifugal). My '60 still is in good working order despite the power it handled maybe b/c I drive like a granny 99% of the time.

so would you guys say for instance if i had alky injection+ turbo my stock tranny would hold up if it was beefed up with the parts that you guys said earler.

and could a local shop do the transmission do the upgrade?

Mines still runnin fine with just the Trans-go s/k and Vette servo. I have several runs down the 1/4 mile all is fine. So far. How ever I do have plans on getting a 4l65e from FLP with in a year.
