Default n/a + bottle vs. sts turbo for engine life?!

im wanting what we all want(more power) but im to the point where i need to go one way or the other. either way is going to cost roughly the same in my opinion but because w/ n/a im looking at headers, cam kit, nitrous kit, stall, P/P the stock 243 heads + the install and tune vs. sts turbo kit which i feel i can install myself and a tune. i dont beat on the truck regularly and will only take it to the track occasionally so i dont want to drive it for 20-30k miles and have to rebuild it. im just wanting whatever will be better in the longrun for the truck both for overall performance and for the longevity of the engine

and yes i searched but didnt find the answers i was looking for

If Tuned and installed correctly either setup will be reliable.
I have a STS kit on my truck and i love it. I DD it and i even tow with it. Just be sure to get a transmission and rear Diff to keep up with the power.

How big a shot?
How much boost?
STS will give power on demand-all time.
N2O will give it when you hit the switch at WOT only.
Do both!

Why do you think you need the cam and heads w/nos and not the STS ? I would sure like an sts system, but dollar for dollar a solid wet shot nitros system for under a grand, is hard to beat. You might be able to install and tune an STS system, but you can install a nitros system easily in a couple of hours. My 5.3 4l60 has been handling a 100+ shot for years, the draw back is you only get about sixty seconds to a 10# bottle. jmo.
