my truck is slow

Talking my truck is slow

I have a 02 GMC Sierra RCSB with a 5.3L. I went to the track the other night and I ran a 16 flat at 85 mph. Thats the best I got. what could I do to make this truck faster. thanks guys.

Hmmm, that's really slow for a 2002 5.3 RCSB truck. You should be in the low to mid 15 sec. area. What was the weather like when you went to the track? Since you are from New Mexico, I bet the temperature and air had something to do with your time. Did you have any traction problems? What kind of modifications and wheels/tires do you have?

Like BlackLM7 said what was the weather like? The DA will affect your times some. What mods do you have? If you don't have a custom tune, one will help you out.

get a good tune allen is awsome www.nelsonperformance.com and do exaust intake then throw some nitrous on it then you'll be movin

I agree, that is very slow for an 02+ single cam 5.3. You must be at a very altitude and not very beat atmosphere conditions.

I was hot, traction wasnt a problem though. I have a flowmaster dual exhaust. I have 18" kmc wheels and 285/50/18 nitto x-treme tires, A little heavy I think. What do you guys recomend for preformance mods. thanks again guys.

also try running stockers on your truck. nightmare slowed down .6 by running some heavy *** 18"
