Unhappy My Great Luck

Well a couple months ago I bought an ls1 when my 5.3 went boom for reasons of my own fault. Well I have been trying to get it finished and finally had to send it to a friend. Well today I got the news the ls1 I bought had bad bearings. So now I dont have my truck and no motor isnt that great ?

So now I have a bigger plan since my ls1 is trash. I need help finding a complete ls6 yep thats right a complete ls6 with brackets and t56 trans and wiring harness. I'll be using the motor in my trukc and then rebuilding the ls1 and using the trans/brackets to put an ls1 into my 69 corvette. So am I crazy or what ?

Marc

completely logical decision....do you want to go with complete corvette accessories, crank pulley, brackets and everything? that's what i'm gonna do so i can go to the LSX style manifold for a special little nitrous setup. i have an extra iron block you can have marc if you want it for some machining for an iron motor.

Thanks matt but I have my old 5.3 still I need complete setup so I can rebuild the ls1 and put it in my older vette.

Whitt dont worry my dad has a tahoe that I'm about to get ahold of which wont be good. I hope to use my old 5.3 with some forged parts and a turbo on it come the end of summer. Until then I will be putting a cowl hood and shaving the whole thing and slamming it. My dad likes lifted stuff but I'll work with him on it I'll probaly put bags on it so he can have a stock ride height. I hope to soon enough have many ls1 equipped vehicles after the vette and tahoe I have two other trucks waiting for an ls1.

why not just buy a set of stock bearing for like 75 bucks and do a semi rebuild on it.

The cobra is good I have it on jack stands waiting for some tires for my new wheels when I get those on I'll get some recent picks.

Mods for the cobra so far are about 20 lbs of boost ported blower, fogger system, dry shot, mccleod twin disk clutch, solid axle and then the usual bolt on's. All I need now is headers and I'm done.

Matt I am going to reuse that motor probaly in my dad's tahoe even though he doesnt know that yet so shhh dont tell him. It would be cheaper at this point to just get another motor and I might as well upgrade while I"m at it.

I think I"m going to look at how much wrecked f bodys are so I can use the pedals and such for the transmission on my vette I probaly could take advantage of all the different parts off of a wrecked f body or possible a vette if I can find one.

It would be nice to have vette and use the seats and such out of it but we'll have to wait and see.

So now where can I look at wrecked f bodys ?

TIA

Marc
