Still using the 4l60E with the TBI6 stall converter for now. Gonna put the HD2/servos/accumulator/etc in it and hope it lasts long enough to find an 80E.

Diggin the PT.net sticker...think that I may have to order a few more myself, I have them all over my tool boxes and garage, as well as on the back window of my Blazer, but I think that the rear window of my truck needs one somewhere. What brand of sliding rear window is that Brandon, CRLawrence? I had my rear window replaced 4 times when it was under warranty as the factory window, which had a plastic frame, would crack in the top corners and water would flow in rapidly GM finally OK'd the use of an aftermarket rear slider and the slapped in the CRLawrence that's still on there. I've fixed one leak on it already, where they did a shitty sealing job, and as soon as I get the chance I'll be water testing again for more.

What's your smog inspection like, are you in Cali?

Yeah its a CRlawrence aftermarket. The guy I bought the truck from 6+ years ago said the factory one leaked even after a few fixes so the dealership finally intalled the CRL. Sounds like it was pretty common. It has never leaked on me.

As far as the smog, yea i'm in california and they do a visual and sniffer test on the dyno. I used the manifolds off the 5.3 to keep the A.I.R as well as all other smog equiptment from the 5.3. I just smogged it the other day (results posted below) the smog tech pulled it up onto the dyno but just revved it in neutral for the test instead of actually dyno'ing it. I dont know if he was just being lazy or its not required, the last place I smogged it 2 years ago dyno'd it. He said hes supposed to fail me on the visual inspection because of the throttlebody coolant line bypass mod (i guess it has to do with smog too) but he said everything else looks so good he would let me slide, just told me to fix it at home. Everything else went fine, He told me if I had a custom tune or aftermarket cam the smog machine will for sure see it and fail me instantly but I knew he was full of **** and none of it was detected. I just told him it was a new stock 5.3

hell yeah im super happy with the results and the numbers are all a little lower than my 5.3 was last time I smogged it. Today I am going to get it registered and then I will get some full throttle videos up in a few days after I put a couple hundred miles on it and feel its broken in.

I haven't gone full throttle in it yet but I did pull up to 100mph with only about 2/3 throttle on the freeway the other day passing a new F150 that had some exhaust on it and a cocky driver. LOL, I haven't driven it since then because I don't wanna get in any trouble in it before I register it!

That's funny about the tb bypass, as it's main intention is to prevent the throttle blade from icing up during cold weather...unlike the weather that you enjoy year round in Cali

I had my sliding rear window replaced 4 times under warranty...went through 3 factory ones, which had plastic frames that would crack in the top corners, and then finally a CR Lawrence, which is now leaking (and appears to have been for a while), from where the installer did a shitty seal job. I plan to pull the headliner asap to give me room to work and try and "patch" the leaking areas with Toyota FIPG, as I'm too broke to pay someone to do a total reseal.

I will be posting some speedo vids soon, just wanna break it in a little first. As far as the dyno I will probably get it dynoed but probably will be a little while and I want to do a few more things to it like the AIRaid tube and the HD2 shiftkit etc. But I will definatley post the results when available!
