I agree....

but I think a 220/220 would be a good cam for that 5speed...

I ran a 224/224 in my 4.8 and never had a problem. Had a blower and heads too but those are just minor details.........

Just throwing this out - I have a Futral 218/228 .564"/.577" 116LSA Cam that would work well with your setup since you don't have long tube headers. The larger duration compensates for restrictive stock exhaust manifolds or shorty headers. It's what I had prior to running my headers and it worked great. I'm asking $250 for it.

After all the ?? and reading I finailly deceided that i had to bite the bullit and get a 6.0 for my truck rather then trying to hop up my 4.8. I figured that a stock 6.0 would run better then a full bolt on 4.8. I picked up my 05 6.0 out of a wrecked truck with about 13k on it for a lil less then 1200$. After that i had the heads done, picked up a TSP cam package, after hearing, many sound clips, asking alot of questions. I figure i wil ahve about the same in this as doing a 4.8 with heads cam, bolt on's and I have solid high 12 sec street truck.. The best full bolt on heads truck that i know of is running high 13's, is built to the hilt. That is just my op, but it is worht it in the end.. good luck on the choice.
