Default Muffler

After tons and tons of research/shopping, i am the proud new owner of an 06 ext cab 5.3L. Im definitely on a huge budget (now that i spent 26.5k) so im not wanting to buy a full exhaust set up, but i would like a nice deep tone without any cab drone. can i get this from just simply swapping out/bolting on an aftermarket muffler? I'm assuming so, so what kinda of tones do each produce (in your experience...again..5.3L). I would like loud and deep but i dont want a drone when im just cruising.
thanks

Save your money and get a Corsa system. Go to the Corsa website for your muffler model number and check eBay on a daily basis for a Corsa system.

Good luck!

I have a Borla and it sounds great behind the truck with no resonance inside at all.

You are going to have to listen to a lot of trucks in your area and decide which sounds best to you.

Yes, search for my post on my new muffler on this forum.
I have Tahoe, but I think a SUV body would be even more senitive for drone that a pick up.

That's the pricing im looking at. Would it just bolt right up with hangers or something? if so i could probably install myself. but if i need to change some piping then maybe not.

Anyone have just a magnaflow muffler? hows it sound?

Look at page 8 of 10, there you have the stainless 3" parts.
I bought the biggest oval muffler on that page. #U 32 76 00R
