Default To much time on hands.......

Since my 67 **** in the bed after 2 days of running I decided to take on another project. I have an old *** CJ5 w/ a BAD knock that we dragged out of a lake a couple of years ago. I've been piling junk in it for the past couple of years, but finally decided to tear into it.

Pulled motor and tranny and did what I think is the ultimate set up.

Cummins 4-BTE w/ a borg Warner T-19.

Common rail fuel system, 3" exhaust, stock gearing in front and rear, Rear locker(was already on the truck), the intercooler is sitting outside the jeep on the front bumper.

This is the ugliest thing that you have ever seen, but it runs like a raped ape. It will do every bit of 80 and the torque, good god the torque. I could crawl up the side of a building in 4th.

Anyway, if you guys see a faded red cj5 rolling around the Dallas area that sounds like a semi, w/ an intercooler sticking out the front, its me.

Damn, sounds pretty cool. Does it feel like it's gonna flip over forward when you drive it down a hill? Dana 44 or 60 up front?

Its a Dana 60, but I need a seal for it. I haven't tried to put it in 4 and run it real hard. Well, I take that back. I've been known to do a burn out in 4. That's some cool ****, seeing white and black smoke bellow out behind the rig. HA HAHA HA yeah....

I think that I'm might try and put some tires on it and make a rock crawling rig out of it.

Does anybody know of a place or company that does LS1-jeep conversions?? I thought that I saw it a while back on a post.

Theres a place in Weatherford that does Jeep conversions. They mainly do LT1s but they have done LS1s. Its called Sunray Engineering. Not sure if they sell a kit.
