Im not sure who made the valve. I will ask Don. Never thought to ask.
The others are perfect. There is nothing on the pistion. The head had some (like 3) surface scratches that Don already buffed off. I guess im lucky

Did you check the turbo out? That piece of valve had to go somewhere.

Don drove the truck last night about 50 miles. No problem and it sill makes boost. I have not personally seen the valve yet, but from the picture it looks like it might have burnt up and disinergrated. I dont know if that is possible, but from what myself and Don can see it did hurt anything.
I dont know when the valve actually broke. At truck nationals I thought that it was just a plug and drove it home at 30-40mph from New England Dragway which is 35 miles from my house. So I dont know if the piece broke up and made it out of the exhaust or what.

Maybe its just magic

I would go with ferrea valves they have a good reputation for being softer something like that shouldnt happen

thats amazing there isnt any scarring on the cylinder or on the walls. Might think about getting em coated

Might want to pull the turbo and exhaust housing and have a look at the turbine wheel. I though mine was running fine till I was going to change to a smaller A/R and found the outside of the wheel was all chewed up. I have no idea how it happened, but I put a new wheel in it it it spools much faster now. Something you might want to look at.
