I put the headers on the other day and the boots from the MSD plug wires layed directly on the tubes for the headers. I put the stockers back on and they fit great and didn't touch at all. Anyone know how to make MSD wires fit with a set of Pacesetter long tubes?

Don't know if this will help or not, but here goes...
I had a local shop put my Dynatech LTs on and they had a similar problem with my MSD wires. The mechanic said they solved it by changing the position of the boot that goes on the coil a little at a time until it moved the rest of the wire off the headers. Put another way, they'd turn the boot a few degrees to the right or left until the wire lifted off the header. Good luck!

I did what Tarheelz said to clear the shorties with my MSD's....I know that they're completely different headers but it's worth a shot. Instead of having the boot on the coil facing straight down, I rotated them all about 45% counterclockwise and that seemed to pull the boots on the spark plugs just enough to clear.

Didn't even think about that, I will give that a shot tomorrow. I'm not sure its the same on every cylinder, but it touched on the one I tried it on. I will take a better look tomorrow and see if I can turn them a little. If all else fails I might try zip ties to pull them up or just leave the stockers on. I would definately rather use the MSDs though.
