Default MS3 too big...?

Ok, i have had it debated on two different sites already, www.s10forum.com says that a TSP MS3 (237/242 .603/.609") with 114lsa and complete dual spring/pushrod set is just 15x too big to fit a stock headed 6.0l that im building for my s-10 where as ls1tech.com has everyone agreeing that its a great cam and could work well with my bolt ons and other mods(look in sig), what are you thoughts? the 6.0l is aluminum headed from an express van and is an '05. if those stock heads wont work, would my dad's old 5.7l LS1 heads work?

Its gonna be a bitch to tune with stock heads, especially if your trying to drive around town with that cam.

If youve got the stock intake I think its overkill, especially without a good set of 225+ heads and a 4k stall.

edit: just looked in your sig, saw the ls6 and 4k stall. I say go for it but youve got the rest of the setup why not go with a budget set of stage 3 heads I see em floating around on tech all the time.

i know ill do the heads later, it will be a maybe once a saturday thing to a cruise or something, but not a daily, as for tuning, were using LS1 edit, which we bought for ourselves lol, so hopefully we can do trial and error tuning, this is only the start to the motor, so it is just what im doing to get it in there, then over time ill put more into it! so overall do you think that ill be ok with this for now?

You will be fine with that cam. I had a 233/239 113 in my stock 5.3. Tuning was fun, took a while, but once it got good, it wasn't bad at all driving around. My wife could even drive it around, it was driving that good. This was in a dail driver, idling at 600-650 too.

On eother thing ... a lot of the guys around here are very conservative in cam recommendations when it comes to stock motors.
