wow that's a good question. I persoanlly wsould go with the ls6 but they suaully cost quiet a bit more. You will save around 90lbs off the front. But for the $$ usually the 6.0 is the better way to go. youcan swap in a cam and springs while the engine is out and You will be producing a really nice healthy number.

I went with an aluminum motor to save weight. Between those two, I would pick an LS6 over any 6.0, unless you're planning on running any serious amounts of boost later on down the road.

You can get away with 10-12 Psi on a stock 6.0l for a while with a good tune and running it richer than normal for safety
The Ls6 Aluminum block has higher compression too and you should be able to live with 8-9 psi just because of the added compression
