How about a pic of the cluster? Not calling bs, just curious. The truck is 8 years old, so doing the math, it would have had to be driven an average of 185 miles EVERY day since it was bought new.

I have a pic of the cluster when it rolled over 530k. I'm driving a Furd flatbed right now since I yanked the driveshaft out of the silverado yesterday due to a bad u-joint. Struggling to find a new driveshaft now... anyway, I'll get a fresh pic of the cluster with todays newspaper when I go down to the barn tonight.

Dad bought the truck brand new in '99, one of the first *I think* 5 people in Texas to have the new body style. For the first year it made a 120 mile round trip 2-3x a day, 5 or 6 days a week. After that its been driven all over... from a little south of Houston, TX to PA, CO, OH,OK many times, Dallas literally about 100 times, if not more... ALL OVER Texas. I've had the truck for a little over a year now and I've only managed to rack up about 30k miles for myself. The truck finally has a chance to cool off! I've done a lot of the maintenance over the years, and I know as fact that the only major work thats been done is the tranny replaced twice and the oil pump twice now (just completed the second pump change right after that 530k pic was taken).

I've got the 530k pic on my camera phone...I can email it to my computer, but how do I go and post it up here?

Post up some picture of the truck itself. I'd like to see what a truck with that many miles on it looks like. What was it used for?

I took my digital camera down earlier, but I just took a pic of the cluster. I'll be replacing the driveshaft and pinion seal tomorrow, so I'll take pics of the truck. Still looks for the most part like it did new... paint isn't faded, but theres a few dents here and there, nothing major though. I'll get a photobucket account later tonight (working on some homework right now) and post up.

WOW that is a crazy amount of miles! Good job! I always said that mileage doesn't kill vehicles, the lack of maintenence does!
