Well I finally got to get started in the wot tuning

part 1
Im really impressed in how the whole combination works together
I still got my shift points set at 6100 so theres still a little more

shes strong all over
especially around 5000+

taking off in first...
It has more off the line than the 5.3
and you have to baby it until it gets to rollin good
then it finally hooks and once it gets up to 5000 it starts
into spinning again
second goes by real quick
and third pins you in the seat and holds you there until you let off
I love it

part 2... and for my first kill
I couldnt take it anymore, so last night I went out looking for trouble
I ended up finding 2 cobras a TA and a GT riding in a group
The 03 GT got up beside me and revved a time or 2, so we slowed to about 40
and let the rest of the group get away
3 honks and were off
from 40 to 90 I put about 2 lengths on him

dude was shocked
and had me follow him to the theater
he couldnt believe it, he went over all the mods he had for about 15minutes
heads cam intake forged bottom end 175 shot etc etc, everything
except FI ,said he had 15k in it
right in front of his buddys I told him, his car was quick and all but I really wanted to race one of those cobras since Id never beat one LOL
and they said no and laughed
that I had already beat the fastest car out of the group

cool guys
great race
and the shock factor was priceless

Nice, I will have some dyno numbers from mine on Thursday. Looks like you have alot left with the shift points at 6100, mine is at 6400 already.

this thing ******* screams as soon as it hits around 4500 feels like someone hit the nitrous and it comes alive, I cant believe how this thing pulls.
Its unreal how well it pulls at 5000+rpms, cant wait to hear about some unsuspecting vette granny shifting and he gets his *** handed to him.

These guys arent gonna believe it without seeing the speedo

nice ride bill now Ive got my work cutout for me

thanks bro

glad you were there to share the experience

next sunday Piedmont
sunday after that NAM
you down ...right??
oh and thanks for the tuning pointers
theres a couple of the things we talked about,
I think will really make a nice difference

mattrem,
you're right
Ive been a little lazy on getting the shift points where they need to be
too busy with the fueling.LOL
but there is alot there
from what I can tell so far Im thinking around 6600 to 6800
is where Ill end up
(glad I put those rod bolts in)

It starts to break in spinning at the top of first around 5000
but the etstreets should take care of that

Let us know how the dyno turns out
Ill be postin some times next sunday
wish me luck

I think its best said... I got "discouraged"

Check this out:

Head: Ported LS1**
Intake:LS1-Truck-LS6
Lift
0.2 141 163 166
0.3 185 206 211
0.35 205 224 229
0.4 222 237 244
0.45 232 249 257
0.5 241 262 269
0.55 251 265 277
0.6 258 270 283

But, seeing as how well a FAST90/90 flows over the LS6... Hook that up to your LQ9.

those flow numbers dont show much of a difference between the truck and LS6

that fast 90/90 may be a option later on
