If you are not intercooled, the PCM will be pulling massive spark at 10psi via the IAT Spark Add table (which strangely enough removes advance). You are probably running between 0* and -4* of spark at WOT and your IATs are probably 230* or so.

Do you have fuel pressure guage??
What is your CR since you rebuilt it?
I'm going to lean towards fuel pump. You need to check your fuel pressure.
If its good, then the tune could be way off?

i am with turbo, when i had my whipple the biggest issues i had were timing related. thing is if that table hasn't been changed it will pull a lot more than 4deg, here is a screen shot of that table http://www.neufamily.org/images/iatpull.jpg , at 200deg iat you will loose 10deg of timing!!, older versions of edit use a map reading instead of load and only show the 1st part of that table. you just cant see the top 1/2 of the table in the old edit and with your set up that is where you are running. that was one of my problems.

other problems was over active knock sensors but you have to be carefull with that. definatly get more fuel!! an inline pump is cheap

woops, i just noticed turbo wasn't saying it pulls 4deg, just that he is probably running 4deg total timing. yeah, once again i agree with turbo. toss in a little kr and you could be even lower.

The Whipple kit uses a draw through MAF setup. The truck MAFs have the IAT sensor built in to them, so unless you are running an IAT sensor post compressor/turbo etc. you will not get high enough intake air temp. numbers to be pulling an excessive amount of timing.

I am more than willing to bet that they pulled a lot of timing in the high octane spark table to cover themselves from you detonating on 10psi. Your 60' times probably dropped because they pull a ton of timing with a quick change in airflow like the twin screw is capable of doing.

Like others have said though, check your fuel pressure at WOT. Make sure it isn't loosing pressure. (I just reread you post ) Dropping to 50lbs is too much. You need a bigger fuel pump. Loosing fuel pressure will definitely make it feel like a dog at high rpms before a shift like you described.

I heard Magnacharger is coming out with a lager capacity Walbro in-tank fuel pump for their new kits. If this will work in your tank, I would go that route. It may cost a bit more, but Magnacharger's completeness to their kits is Outstanding!

U mentioned that u went with new forged parts.

I heard that going with forged pistons that every explosion ends up "sounding" like detonation to the knock sensors and thus pulls timing out. If you went with a custom tune, just clarify if he's desensitized the KS.

ha, thats funny, i forgot all about the pull thru maf. , just ignor me!

timing was my problem though, i was running high 14's with a 6.0, whipple and stall. after geting my timing back seems like i was running mid 13's.

does anyone with a whipple have a screen shot from Hptuner or Edit showing where the timing should be? I think mine is at 16deg at wot.

The CR is 9.0, and I'm sure it's pulling timing out.

As I said, the next month or so will be a good time to get it to the shop and have an intercooler fabbed, along with a dyno tune to get rid of some of these issues.

If I was'nt going to do that, I'd just get my hands on some of the smaller pulleys (Like I sold Big Tex a few months back-daaa) and lower the boost, and probably pull some of the performance back.
