Default more 6.0 ?'s

I'm planning on getting a 6.0. I think its a 2001 Lq4. Will my 4l60e trans bolt right up? Will all the harnesses and sensors work off ny 5.3. My truck is a 2002.

i thought you needed to use a 4l80e for 6.0's because of all that torque

My 60e has already been gone through last winter and should be good to go till it breaks. Then I'll upgrade.

I had another thread about a 6.0 swap and was told that 01 and up LQ4's would bolt right up to the 60.

01 and up 6.0 blocks will bolt up, you just need to swap the flexplate over I believe. There's alot of concern about the 60E holding up against the added power of a 6.0, I guess it all depends on how wild the 6.0 is built and how strong the 60E has been upgraded.

Gotta swap the FP. 60 just wont hold up to a stock LQ4 or LQ9. Your on borrowed time with a good tuned 6.0 wearing a 60E!!

Thanks, thats what I was looking for. Gonna tell the guy to deliver the motor to me asap. Then once I get the motor, then I will tear it apart and order some new parts.

FUN TIME!!! Do it all now while the motors out. I didnt want to do the oil pump or chain after the fact. Man is it easy to swap oil pumps with the motor on a stand.(Might have noted this before)
