Default 317 heads?

For a 6.0 swap with the Radix and good cam....would it be better for me to try and find a motor that comes with the heads or buy them separately? How many 6.0's have the 317 heads? Should I leave them stock or is it worth the money to have some work done on them?

Get an lq4 it has the lower C.R. that will work better with F.I. You will not see as big of an increase with head work and s/c as you would see n.a.

I think that all of the 01 and up 6.0's come with 317 heads, but I'm not sure. I found a set of clean heads off of an 04 on ebay for $360 shipped, probably gonna have em worked a bit, depending on how much it'll cost.

OK so if there is a good chance I will find a 6.0 with the 317 heads then I will look sthat way, rather than buying a set separately.

motors that are 01 and up have the 317 heads. yeah try to find a motor that 01 and up. Those heads will help you flow especially on the exhuast side.

Ok thanks I'm sure it would be better price to get a motor that has them already.

BTW....why are you posting when you should be working on getting that motor ready??? You got two weeks

Only buy a 6L if it has 317 heads. Old ones (99-00) with iron heads have a different crankshaft. They won't be a direct drop in swap.

Yea, from what I understand, the 99-00's won't bolt up to a 4L60e, you'd have to swap in a 4L80E also.
