are modifed t/b worth it?

i have a jantzer t.b. and i have to say yes, they do work. you will notice more throttle response, as well as a few more ponies. i think they have been dynoed betweeen 5 - 10 h.p. and are supposed to give you one or two tenths in the quarter.

i did mine myself and also did whistlen00
havnt got to see how his did because his intake broke before we could test it.
but i did notice a nice pick-up the throttle response on mine
and im sure i picked up a couple of ponies also, but not forsure. i have a bad habit of doing abunch of mods all at once and not testing each diffrent mod

The point of doing mods is to get rid of the bottle necks in your intake track. The more air you are moving the more the more of a difference it will make. Especially if you have some sort of artificial induction like a supercharger or nitrous.

no i did not have anything to go by, i took a look at 02 denali's and copied what he had done to his. i smoothed out the lip at the front and port and polished the rest to make it nice and smooth. wish i had a stock one to take a pic of . unless some one has a pic here they can post then i will post a pic of mine. would really like to have them sitting side by side tho. maybe i can get 02 denali to get one and bring it over to the house and we will do a cmparison snap shot.
took me about 3-4 hours of really gettin into it. i had to clean mine, it was so badly gummed up. so i spent most of my time cleaning than i did P&P. once its cleaned it doesnt take long at all. I think i did whistlin00 in about an hour. he had his halfway done and i finished it. so i would say about a good 2 hours.
to bad yall aint near me, we could of worked something out.

I would really like to see some pics if you two could get together and post some here that would be awesome. I've been thinking about doing this myself, but I didn't want to screw it up. Sounds pretty easy to do and the benifits I would get would be awesome.
