Milling stock 6.0 heads
#1
Hey guys,
I was thinking about milling the stock heads on my 2000 6.0L. I'm not even sure what heads they are. All I know is they are not aluminum heads unfortunately. I have the Texas Speed 228r cam. I was wondering how much I could safely mill off from these heads and would it be worth it. I'm not sure what compression ratio I'm aiming for, just looking for more power. Also, should I get one of those cosmetic gaskets. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks. Tim.

Find a set of used 317's(aluminum) and have them milled, with a good valve job. I think you can go 35k on them, maybe 40. I have 20 off mine.. Any more could result of the intake not wanting to fit well, poss P to V clearance probs

Thanks for the reply. Did it make a big difference when you took 20 off from your heads?
