what year/model 6.0 do you have bolted to your t56? the 4.8 is terrible on gas....i'm gettin 14 mpg out of mine drivin around town right now >:O $75/week right now

gearing should be fine with .5 overdrive of the 6speed.

yeah 243 heads or some massaged aftermarket. Raising the compression 1point gives 4-5% more hp everywhere in the powerband.

I am assuming you have a lq4

I believe I have a 02 6.0.....lq4.

I drive about 40 miles a day....two lane blacktop......about 75 dollars a week.

Yes..its a lq4.

Interesting....would the 243's still allow for 87 octane to be used?

The 5 speed helps you a little better... I get 12 mpg around town $80 a week.. On 275 55 20...

thats a good question. It depends. If you keep your foot out of it, 87 octane will not be a problem. If its driven hard you might need 91-93.
