They are a straight through design. Depends on your definition of loud, without cats it's going to be loud to an extent also depends if your gonna dump it or run it all the way out the back.

I'd say noise wise they are probably pretty close depending on what size bodied Magnaflow you use. I usually go 4x9x14. I've had both on different trucks. The magnaflow may drone a lil bit more, I know my aerochamber doesn't have hardly any drone to it though.

The magnflow is a straigh thru design, but completely different than the Aerochamber, the magnaflow is pretty much just a straight perforated tube running down the center where as you know how the aerochamber looks on the inside.

Are you trying to quiet your truck down or go louder. Cause you can always, add a bigger bodied magnaflow to it. But I'd say the one you showed should be pretty close in volume to the aerochambe, maybe with a bit more inside noise.

I run the big magnaflow (22" long one) and at idle and part throttle it's pretty But wide open is a different story. No too much drone in the truck either.

I believe this kid in town has that muffler on his 5.3. I know it was quite a bit louder than my dual in/out 50 series flowmaster. But now I have a TWO 14" race magnaflows w/ 3" pipe from my cats to the mufflers w/ 3" dumps......mine is quite a bit louder than his. His has a nice deep tone....never ridden in his truck so I can say anymore than hearing him drive by.

i have had two magnaflows and i love them my first one was the exact one your looking at and the one i have now is a 12" case 3" in dual 3" out with side exit which will be changed next month because i am going to a pacesetter ORY pipe and long tubes and i think its gonna be to loud.

That is the muffler I have on mine and let's say it is never "quiet". It has a nice tone and sounds bad *** at wot but I get a pretty bad droan at interstate speeds. It is not 'headache' loud but loud enough to be annoying at times. I have been thinking of trying the larger case Magnaflow to quieten it down a bit but all my friends tell me I would be crazy to change it. I guess I am just getting older and dont want the "attention" all the time. Good thing I already have a cutout for when I do want to be noticed.
