Default Magnaflow how loud

I have a 2500hd w/6.0L and just installed a airaid kit with tube. I found a set of magnaflow 11259 mufflers (3" offset inlet 3" center outlet) for cheap.
How loud will these be on my truck. I am not planning installing dual just to replace the factory muffler with these. My dad does a fair amount of highway driving with this truck. I really don't want to hear it at cruising speed 70-80MPH. Has anyone ever used them?

You can always put a bullet muffler in-line with them if it ends up being too loud.

Just a thought.

Not too many of the truck around hear run the magnaflow mufflers. Most are using the dreaded Flowmaster. I have heard the magnaflow on a 02 Z28 and it sounds great to me, not loud while cruising, but noticible at WOT. I was hoping that they would be ok since I will be using the orig tail pipe.

What R some other suggestions/opinions? I really can't see spending $250 for the Magnaflow replacement muffler.

I just bought a stainless 5x11 oval 3" magnaflow for about $110 online

Summit link (not where I bought it)

You can look around at the various sponsor vendors and probably get it cheaper than Summit, or just find a magnaflow dealer in your area. The aluminized, non-stainless would be even cheaper. $250 would be way too much.

I think it's exactly the opposit. Most people around here steer clear of the flowmaster. I have a Magnaflow cat-back and love it, and I'm and old picky bastard who doesn't want to hear loud exhaust in my D/Driver. Flowmaster's are great for the weekend hotrod, and I have them on my '57 Chevy, but I would never run one on my truck.

Well I just ordered them. When I get them put on I will let everyone know. I will have a h-pipe put in right before the mufflers and using the factory tip setup I think they will be perfect.

Thanks for everyones input. As far as the flowmaster I have teh straight thru on my 78 w/ a hacking cammed motor. They sound awesome but not for a D/driver.

Well I receive the mufflers today. They are more straight thru flow design than I was expected. Hopefully they won't be that loud w/ a H-pipe. Will reply as soon I can get them on after a fuel pump replacement. Thanks for everyone that has replied.
