Default MAF Screen Question?

Hey guys,

I have a 2006 5.3 and I was wondering if it would help me at all to pull the MAF screen out?? I just installed a new AFE Cold air intake and was wondering if it would make a difference.......

Also any other free mods that could help get this thing faster......

NO!
Do not mess with the MAF screen, it will not help and may hurt performance.

I have been running without the screen for the last 4 years. My O2's have always been a little out of wack and I could never tune it all that well because of it. About a week ago my O2's went totally bonkers and my truck was running like total ***. I went and bought a new MAF and now my 02's act just the way they should and my truck has awesome throttle response and runs smooth. I can't believe it took me this long to go back to a screened MAF. There have been many discusions about not removing the screen but I guess I am just the last to jump on the band wagon. DO NOT REMOVE IT.

Default Don't

Don't Pull Out The Screen!! It Helps Keep The In Coming Air Going Straight Through .without It The Air Swirls Around And Messes With Your Tune ..
