you wont feel a power increase. but it probably is lettin more air pass. so what the hell . do it

just stab the **** out of the screen and it'll finally come off. thats what i did. just dont hit the small coils in the very center. think it messes up the readings or somethin?

I have heard a lot of good and bad things about this. All I can inout is that I did this on a 96 V6 Camaro, a 2000 Silverado, and a 2002 Camaro SS with no problems. I am not saying that it will never cause a problem, just that I have never had one. Also, my Dad has them out of his 2000 Silverado and 2002 Silverado. I am thinking about taking it out of my Avalanche, I just have been lazy lately.

Did it to all mine. IMO it works great, and you will see a small increase.

If it ran that lean, i dont think the MAF had anything to do with it.

My wife always gets worried when she see's me under the hood of the truck.

dont do it.

i did and saw no performance increase at all.

it is there for a purpose. straighten out turbulent air coming into the intake.
