After not being impressed with the power of my whipplecharger i finially bought a scanner.
It immedialty thru out a code and said, maf low input failure.
do you think this could be hindering my performance?
also it only registered 260 grams of air at full throttle max.
any info and ideas as to fix it are appreciated! Drew

 

not 100% sure, I will have to check tomorrow, but I think my MAF read high 300s at WOT. Check and make sure all three of the heater/sensor wires inside of the MAF are looking in good condition.

 

Clean it with a NON-OIL contact cleaner. If that doesn't work, get a new one.

 

can i use rubbing alchol?

 

You can use rubbing alcohol and a q-tip but be VERY CAREFULL but I would recomend what Greg said (arisol non-oil contact cleaner) so you dont have an expensive slip of the hand.
BTW... If you do mess up or it turns out bad, I have a stock meter I will make you a deal on.
