Default Lunati 221/221 vs. Comp 212/218

Would the lunati be a good Daily Driver cam and can I use my 2500 stall converter with this ? I'm looking for all around better performance while being able to retain the converter I go to the track sometimes so I'm not looking for an all out bracket racing truck . I was thinking the comp 212/218 would be a bit small, I read in some threads most people that run the 212/218 wished they had went bigger in cam size.

220/220. Dont look back, u wont regret it. as long as the tune is right it'll drive just fine. My tune is far from right but the only streetability issues I have is if I dont let my truck run for a couple mins when I start it and step on the brake it seems like its struggling for vacuum. Idle drops to about 3-400 and it sounds like an old beat up piece of **** truck. But other than that no real issues, just focusing on going bigger and better otherwise I'd have the tune all in

What was your 1/8 mile time? I ran a 8.9 with my 220 cam in my 4.8 to give you a idea on what it does, with a 2.0 60ft...

go with the 212/218 if you plan on staying with that converter,

when i had the 5.3, 212/218, 2500stall, 3.42, 93 tune, no other boltons other than a flowmaster!lol.. it ran a 14.0

if you are planning in upgrading the converter then go with the 220/220

I can't find my damn time slips LOL so I'm not sure about the 1/8th mile, but ap2002 that cam does sound like a good match for my converter. I was looking to trade a 2005 6.0l crank and a set of 317s for either cam and some cash but the comp cam sounds like a good combo with what mods I have at the moment.
