Default Lumpy cams

i want to put cams in my truck i have a 1998 5.7L 350 v8 vortec. i want to put lumpy cams in it. is is possible to or do you need a carborated motor?

ive heard of choppy cams but never lumpy i wonder how those sound ? lol ! j/k ! yup can be done just need better valve springs for the added lift and proper size push rods and a custom tune !

Do not get hung up on how it sounds vs. how it performs. This is how many people OVER cam there vehicles and regret it later when it's a dog off the line or requires a **** ton of pedal to get it going.

Are you manual or auto? You'll more then likely need to mate it up to a higher stall.

like said b4 dont get lost in how it sounds , most of the time most aftermanket cams have a choppy soud compare to stock ! but i really dont know much about those gen2 engines ! so i dont have any proven camsihn mind

What about a stroker kit. Or a turbo charger. I wanna turbo so bad. But I dunno if it's possible with my engine

I realize we all started somewhere. I'll tell you anything is possible. Just depends on your budget.



the skies the limit. For what it's worth you can turbo just about anything. Start with... a CAI,tune and exhaust. Save a little... I mean your all over.. stroker,cam,turbo... do some research on whats in your budget.
