Total install took about 4 hours to do, I took my time. I removed the stock fan and shroud, and installed the fans yesterday. I made four brackets, two for the top and two for the bottom. I had to wait until today to get the wiring kit, it has fuses, relay, etc. Took another two hours today, I put all the wires in the black wire looms, looks good. I let the truck warm up and set the t-stat. I kept bumping the setting up until the fans weren't on when I was driving but they will come on it if I sit and idle for about five minutes. Just drove to the store and back, 35 mph all the way and the fans didn't come on. I let the truck sit in the garage and idle, it took about five minutes for the fans to kick on. So far I'm happy, I'll do some 0-60 runs when the roads dry out, it's raining right now.

I'm not sure what the temp is, the t-stat on the relay is VERY small, no numbers. I'm going to use an infra-red temp gun we use at work to check the temp of A/C units, steam traps, etc. I'll shoot the radiator right where the temp probe is for the fans t-stat. The wiring kit I got doesn't allow for independent fan operation. I have them both coming on when the t-stat calls for them. They aren't as loud inside the truck as I thought they would be with the windows rolled up and the hood down. When I had the hood up and was testing them, they make some pretty good noise. They are a lot quieter than the clutch fan when it's engaged. I drove around tonight and in a 25 mile trip, they only came on two times. Once I was in stop and go traffic on the freeway, and the other when I was going from stop light to stop light. I tweeked them a little more so they wouldn't come on as quick. So far, all is good.

Did you put some foam between the fans and the radiator? (Not sure if your fans even touch the radiator with your custom brackets) I ended up with a little dent in one of the cooling tubes on the radiator so I put some 2 inch foam along the top and a couple inches down each side and it keeps it cushioned.

I had some weather stripping and put a strip of it on the top of the electric fan shroud. The sides don't touch and the bottom isn't a problem. The whole fan unit doesn't press against the radiator hardly at all and with the brackets, it won't go any where.
