Question LS9 cam swap in gen III Vortec 6.0

Do I need a 1X or 4X camshaft sprocket to install a LS9 cam in my gen III 6.0L Vortec engine?? I have the LS2 timing cover and cam sensor...not sure which cam sprocket I need

Thanks

Reuse your OEM front cover and OEM timing gear. The cam is 3 bolt just like your oem cam.

What he said.

I'm going to ask what you intend to use it in though... i have a feeling this cam will be far from ideal for you.

Ls9 cam doesn't have the trigger ring on the back. He has to convert to a ls2 timing cover with the cam sensor in the front. You'll need a cam gear from a 2006 tbss.

Pretty sure you need a 1x gear.
