how many turns past 0 lash dose it take to make 18ft lbs? those are too long man.

An easy way to check it screw in the rocker bolt till it is touching the push rod and there isnt any up or down play. then take your torque wrench and see how many turns it takes should be between 1 and 2 thats it.

I will try that. The push rods are 7.4

You can hear it if you listen real close in the video at about 30 seconds.

If your not tuned for the 80lbers thats the fuel issue.. You are going to winde up wiping rings, bearings or cylinders out if you can smell fuel that abundant in the oil.. Only time you should have a fuel smell to oil is when it needs to be changed.. As far as tq issues. Ya def could be a issue there

Well I found the trq wrench and at 18'lbs the rocker bolts don't turn at all it clicks with no turning. Also pushrods with effort can be twisted. I have no up or down movement and they feel pretty tight. paranoia? Should I do a leak down test? or compression test?

The picture of the trashed PRs... was that on the lifter or the rocker arm side of the rod?

Rocker arm side. Rocker arm looked great. I would have replaced the lifters if the lifter side looked like that.

and my bad its 22ftlbs

everything else is 18lbs

You need to loosen them then re-torque to see lol

go in 90* movements, that way you can see just how close. the 1st full turn should be easy then you shouldnt go over another turn to make it click.

No just the inner cylinders on each side. They all had wear. But the centers looked the worst.
