Default LS6 heads

Is putting the LS6 heads on a 4.8 worth it? What about a streetable cam with the LS6 heads? Thanx for your knowledge.

Are they ported? If they aren't ported or milled it probably isn't worth it because you are going to lose compression by going to the LS6 head and the increase in flow will probably balance the power difference out(unless you are planning on a blower ). Many people go with a comp 212/218 cam that is very streetable and gives good power. Also a 2001 z06 cam, or a GM hotcam are good streetable cams.

Agree with stylespeed, no gains at all unless you are going forced induction. Also gotta watch the bigger valves on the smaller cylinder as they can cause "shielding" which can screw up your air/fuel combustion efficiency.

again no gains without FI or unless you are planning on going with a bigger motor later on which will still suck until you get that motor done so i say port the ones you have if anything or spend that money on a used 6.0 for like 1200 or so from a junkyard
