Which would be a better setup for a 01 5.3l silverado with intake, cat-back, and dyno tune.
A ls6 cam or Long Tubes?
would i need bigger injectors for either of these?
also if i do cam is there a package to buy and would i use ls6 valve springs, pushrods, etc.
want to keep the car able to pass the actual smog test dont care about visual.
thanks

ls6 is a dog down low in a 5.3 truck no low end ...yo have to wrap it out to make good power ....do a better cam and headers...most people use ls6 valave springs on a lot of cam swaps up to a 555 lift for the 60 bux they cant be beat

if youre worried about the 02 ls6 cam being too big, you can always do a 98-00 ls1 cam (202/210 .500 117) or the 01 ls6 204/211 .525 116. The ls1 cam is 10 degrees and .030 more lift, so it would help it breathe a little better in the top. Ive heard the 98-00 cam doctors out at 198-208 119.5 so it should pass a sniffer a little easier then the 01 ls6 116. Run ls6 yellows with either. Stock pushrod lengths are ok for both, however, its always good to put a stiffer set in.
However, I would do headers first, and do the cam later.
