Default LS6 in 2003 silverado

I am currently in the bidding process of winning a LS6 engine off of ebay. I have a 2003 chevrolet silverado reg cab z-71 with the 5.3. What modifications would I have to make in order to get the ls6 running in the truck? Thanks

You can run the Z06 longblock and you truck intake and accessories. I believe this was covered in more depth just a couple weeks ago. Do a search. Why a LS6 instead of a 6.0??

you may have to reuse your 5.3 oilpan as well, I think I've read somewhere, where there was some kind of issues with the oilpans

Ok guys, thanks for all the information. I'm still the leading bidder on the engine so maybe that one will be coming to daddy before its over with. How about the electronics of the engine? Will Nelson be able to do a custom tune to get the engine running right and will injectors be an issue? I'm thinking about stroking the ls6 as well hwen I do it. Thanks!
