Hell it doesn't even look like I can use the ls7's either I did just find a custom head and cam kit on vengeance racing though but I'm not sure if it will work or not. I'm pretty well screwed on any of the cathedral port stuff cuz its all for bigger bore stuff. Do is there anyone making a bolt on head for my little *** 3.78 bore 4.8

L92/LS3/LS7 can only be ran on a 6.0 block and bigger.

Stick to a 706/243 style head for the 4.8/5.3 block even if it is a bored 3.90" (5.7L) *i could be wrong on the max bore of the 4.8/5.3 block* an if you run a 383 stroker kit it still wont matter because the bore is only 3.90"

Blackgmc posted great head choices for your 4.8

What are the plans for the truck?

LS7 requires a 4.125" bore last I checked, the valves hit the cylinder walls on a 4" much like the LS3/L92 valves hit the cylinder walls on the smallbore LSs. There are LS3 heads designed for the smaller bores (Mast) but they are expensive like crazy, and you might as well swap in a 4" bored engine and buy factory L92s if you're going to spend that kind of money.

My plans are to get a solid top end and go with probably a supercharger or an sts turbo kit just something I can romp in the street and go to the track every once in a while. I would like to at least run mid to low 13s
