Default LS2 Timing chain in a 01 6.0 liter?

This is a direct swap isnt it? Im going to be going itto that area and though I might as well put in a new chai8n and that LS2 chain looks healthy.

The LS2 chain uses improvements made by GM when they released the LS6 engines. I am pretty sure the LS2 chain is the same as the earlier LS6 piece.

They should interchange.

Can anyone confirm??

peace

Hey sixliter, there's a pic of the 2 chains side by side in Beau's cam swap party thread

and just FYI, the swap wasn't as easy as we had hoped. It was a little bit of a booger to get the oil pan and pickup tube dropped to pull the pump off and replace the chain. I'm sure Matt could make easy work of it though
