Default is LS1 throttlebody a upgrade for lm7?

im wondering if the stock ls1 throttlebody is bigger then the LM7 stock throttlebody and is it an upgrade? what size are the tb's ? i did a search and came up with nothing, im thinkin a good sticky would be a "all factory upgrade parts" thread so we could have all this info in 1 place

i read in CHP i believe, that there wasnt much gain from the truck manifold to the LS6 and they actually lost changing from the truck manifold to the LS1... i do however think that the TB is bigger then the truck TB but i could definately be wrong... someone else please correct me if i am...
after thinking about it further if the LS6 intake flows more then the truck intake, then the composite plastic intakes heat dissipating effects would probably help make a fair gain, if you could get one cheaply it would probably be worth it

I believe the truck intake makes far more torque than the ls6

with an ls6 intake you lose what a truck needs most...torque.

I'd recommend the intake from Magnacharger, if you want torque. And it doesn't cost $700. So it matches your needs perfectly!
