Mods are in sig, the 12.2 was at +1500 da. heads are gm performance 243s with 61.9 cc chambers and I ran the math and its 10.8-1, you need 60 cc chambers to get 11-1. I cant say id really change much on my setup, im shur theres a bit more in it with different heads and a composit intake but i like the cam and stall setup alot. If you want more cam then mine you may have to tweek the converter a bit.. 4200-4400 to get the crazy 60 foot. Iv done a few 6.0 setups and these ls1s hurt on the mid range torque compared to the 6.0 so they need quite a bit of stall in them.

I am hoping this stall gets looser with the added power. it flashes to ~3600 to 3800 now with my 5.3. your setup is stout!! the cam I have spec'd is slightly bigger than yours, but a total custom lobe.

From what Pat G sent me in my email with this 230/234 600/602 111+1 EPS cam im getting my compression should be 11.0:1 with my 243's being milled .015 using a stock GM head gasket. But I have never used a compression calculator so yall probably know more than me about it

Whos this "custom cam and valve spring" guy your using? lol

Forged internals sound nice for a big shot of the gas . Sounds like it will be a stout setup. The next thing ill be getting for my LS1 is a FAST LSXrt but that wont be for a long while lol. Need to get a good transmission and differential first.

11:1 sounds right. I am having lots of work done to these 799's, so I will have to mill more due to the port work. I talked to my guy tonight when I payed him to get started on my heads, and he is getting the cam specs tomorrow. should be 232 to 235 on the intake side and 236-240 on the exaust side. It sure is hard to shell out the money......

as far as the guy doing the work........have you ever wondered who does the port work and r&d on big race team heads, nascar, prostock, pro mod, big grudge racers, ect? ever wonder who designs the cnc work on say trickflow heads? I found who......

Eric, my heads look **** after he finished with them, I still need to pick up shims and seals before i put the heads on.

I know he made 505hp out of a H/C/I LS6 in his car.

The guy really knows his stuff and my brain always hurts after leaving his shop because of the **** that i learn everytime i go out there. Anyways... too bad we cant get a 5.3-5.3 run in once i put the verter and heads on. That would've been fun

I learn new things about airflow every time I talk to him. I am ready to see the results. If I , and I think I will, forge it, I may go 11.5 or so.

I bet!! you should have seen the 7xx CI GM hemi headed all aluminum grudge racer motor he ported the heads on....wow I could have stuck my fist in the exaust runners. he said it should do 2000hp plus a heavy shot of N2O.

we still can, I have lots more money to save up for this ls1. I want to forge it, and Chris is getting me a smokin deal on Manly pistons and rods. I need to sell my ls6 pistons and rods, and send back some stock rebuild parts I bought.
