Default Ls1 Intake on 5.3L question?

I found this thread and it explains everything but one thing..

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...e-swap-359987/

I Have a LM7 that I am putting in a 3rd gen camaro so thats the reason I am putting a ls1 intake on it. Everything seems to fit except the coolant lines in the valley.. the line that is on the passenger side rear is in the way of the intake. I have found pics of the ls1 coolant lines and they are straight instead of curved like the truck lines are.

How do you get around this problem? I thought about cutting the line and putting in a fuel line hose instead. Or maybe trying to bend the line?

Anyone else have this problem? I can get pics later to show exactly what im talking about.

I believe you would need to get the LS1 line, or the LS6 front crossover line and cap (GM plug) the rear holes. Here's a pic of the LS6 type front line:

Thanks for the reply I went to our Gm dealer today to price the ls1 style lines and found out that 98-01 they use all four holes. And the 02-up they use what you have a picture off where they cap the rear two holes. So I guess I'm going to cut the line and cap the rear two holes.

What do these lines do exactly? I guess they run coolant threw the tb for startup and fast idle?

With my 90mm fast intake, I gently tapped on the lines after they were installed with a rubber mallet, then it fit perfect. I didn't cap them off, scared the back cylinders would run hotter. So I used LS6 coolant crossover tubes on the front and back, ran hoarded to a 3-way tee connector. Looks good.

I thought I already replied to this but I guess not...

So your ran the Ls6 coolant line in the front and in the back and just capped the 3 way tee off? I dont understand why they would cap they back off if they served a purpose from factory.. its weird how the newer vehicles are capped..

I'm debating on welding up the rear or buying the ls6 crossover for the back.. the front coolant line I already made fit the the rear will not.. if its not necessary to run it to the rear I would rather save 50$.
