actually the truck intake flows better then the ls1 intake, and you will lose some low end power.Don't need to lose any more in the 4.8.Plus i think you need to move some acessories around to get it to fit.

To do the LS1 intake the righ way you have to do the following.
(1)-Install electric fans
(2)-Buy a idler relocation bracket from Speartech
(3)-Trim some of your water pump
(4)-Get a 97/98 vette type fuel rail(retrurn style-2 lines coming off the fuel rail.
You can buy a brand new one from a dealership for like $350,buy one from
S&P for like $250, get a F-bod fuel rail and have it modified which will end
up costing you $250+, or find a used one which isnt easy but possible.
***The reason you dont want to use the truck fuel rail is becuase it will be like
8 inches higher than the LS1 intake. You can use it and make some spacers
but it doesnt look to good.
Since you have a 4.8 I wouldnt do it and some would say since you have a truck dont do it. Im almost done getting all the parts to do this but I have a LS1 but some would say dont even do it then.
