Default LS1 fan install....somebody wanna help me out?

I know the FAL fans would be an easier install....but i can pick up a fan set off a 2001 T/A for $50. I know i've heard of people doing the LS1 fans but i was wondering whats all involved with it compared to the FAL fans. And are the LS1 fans keeping your engine cool? Im thinking about getting a pulley and i've also got a body lift, so the airflow from the fans wont exactly be lined up with the motor perfectly...so the radiator will have to do most of the work.

They both do the same job but the FAL is obviously a much nicer unit overall. Im sure it pull more air (if you need it) and looks super clean.

I didnt ls1 fans beacuse I didnt want to spend like 400 or whatever it is for the FAL, mine work awesome. Just take some time and do a nice install

$50 on the fans is a pretty good deal i think...i dunno what they usually go for, my buddy has a couple set of them and he said he would let me have them at a fair price. As far as the VSC, how much does it go for? I hope this isnt the same part everybody has problems with melting wires and such.

I got mine for 75 The VSC is the one you are hearing about. I have no problems so far, but if I was going to buy another controler it would be the DCC. I will give it up to FAL for taking care of their customer, they have always been great with me, but you might save yourself some headache with the DCC

Try fbodyjunk.com. They sent me a set for 70.00 shipped. They are in S.C. also so you will get them pretty quick.

dc controller is made by dc controller. it is a wonderful unit. mac has the sight there. all you will need is the 35amp unit. this unit has worked well for me with no problems at all. with this unit my fans have never went over 50%. this keeps my truck plenty cool and draws half the amps. if you have any more questions lemme know.
