ls1 cam in 5.3

Then I guess my question is, why would you put a cam in but not a converter?
Also, why would you think it would run like ****? I daily drive a 3600 converter in a lifted truck and have zero issues. If you ran a tt3000, you wouldn't even remember it was there most of the time.
You can swap a converter or a cam in about the same amount of time.
Do what you will man. It doesn't sound like you're looking for advice, it sounds like you've already made up your mind. Do what you will, but unless you already have the tools and have done at least a handful of cam swaps, I wouldn't bother with an ls1 cam.

I meant that a 224 or whatever size cam wouldn't run to it's potential without a stall, but a 200/210 gm cam would be okay. I'm not sure what my plan is yet. And installing a cam I already have available is cheap but for the most part a converter isn't. I might do a tb stall eventually though
