Default LS based engine swap Q's?

Will an LS (aluminum) based engine swap right into an '04 silverado which currently has a 5.3? The motor mounts should be the same right? There shouldn't be any problems mounting up to the trans right? Thanks.

That's right, it will bolt directly on. Basicly, the 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 as well as the LS1 and LS6 blocks, through 2006, have the same external dimensions and accept all bolt-on parts. There were some changes in 2007 to those blocks and the LS2, LS3, and LS7 (Gen IV) have some other differences, but I'm not sure of the details.
