Default LQ9 Swap

My dealer quoted me $3500 delivered on a new LQ9 6.0

Is this a good deal?
What about the smog peeps?
Rest is drop in right? Same trans and all?

a chevy dealership? or crate engine dealer?

$3500 is right about what 3rd parties are selling them for, most are $3600 are more though. I think I got a quote that was $4500 or so from the chevy dealership...don't remember exactly how much though, but it was significantly more than 3rd party pricing.

Smog peeps wont know any different. Everything will bolt right up. That is a great deal.

I was debating whether to do a swap or not because of my lfter problems. I have access to an 04 lq9 w/ 7k on the odometer, but installation cost were in the $1500-2000 range, so I didnt do it.

$3500 seems reasonable. $199 less than SPDC.

My dealership said they would sell me one for $100 over cost.

i just picked one up for 800 bucks complete with 41k on it. cant wait to get it in, GT2-5 cam and ls6 intake, 97 vette fuel rail, fbody accesories, svo 30#s, full exhaust and etc. i got lucky on this setup. so instead of using my 5.3 with mods i got, i got lucky on the lq9

I'd go for that for sure!
How much HP/TQ are LQ9's getting with similar mods as mine?

Not sure on the hp, but I know the 6.0's put out a ton more torque. A 6.0 can also digest a larger cam without losing driveability. I think 360-370 rwhp and 400-420rwtq would be pretty easy with a nice cam.

Right on! Plan on swaping my cam out too, I think the 224/114 will do much better in the 6.0!
Are exhaust manifolds same? I can swap my headers too. What about intake? Will my Volant fit right?
