Default Lq9 pistons pressed on lq4 rods?

I already pressed brand new lq9 pistons onto lq4 rods that had 60,000 miles on them. What do you guys think?

Unless the rods are bent or fatigued from abuse... I say you're good to go. I got 83,000m on my LQ4 when disassembled it for kicks while it was out. Rods looked great, and unless you're running heavy amounts of power adders, (Forced Induction, Nitrous) i wouldnt worry one bit.

Thanks for your input!

I have another question. I have this engine diassambled down to the block by a buddy of mine and now all the bolts are all over the place. i don't know which bolt goes where? Do you know of any literature that would help me.

I dont think you'll have any problems but I am curious as to why you went with LQ4 rods instead of LQ9. The LQ9 rods are a little stronger, which I would assume a little heavier. Was weight of the rotating assembly a concern?

Well i figured the rods were fine and i really did not want to spend too much cash on this rebuild. I wanted to make it quick and easy but unfortunetly i have been to busy and i have let the engine get a little rusty. Now i have to take time and carefully clean the block. And i have to round up all these loose bolts.
