Default Lq9 engine the same as the ls1?

Is this true?
The LQ9 is 100% compatible with the LS1 and LS6 as far as parts go (intake, heads, headers, cam, crank, etc.)

parts are interchangeable but they are not the same motor

the ls1 is aluminum block 5.7L vs. the lq9 iron block and 6.0L among other things, different heads etc.

They are the same stroke but I believe they are different part numbers. I thought I read somewhere that the LQ9 crank is drilled and balanced differently to compensate for the heavier rods and pistons.
