So the weak link of cam selection is going to end up being mainly the intake...How does a FAST intake with a 90mm tb sound? and oh the pain of dealing with wanting to keep a 4x4 truck for the winter season of Alaska...the best it seems that i can do for a stronger xmsn is having a NV3500 built up at the local shop. Im not quite fond of the 45 and havent found many other options out there for me....anyone know some that i may not please PM me since its off topic !..thanks

works good but is a mostly 5800+ intake. for me i would see some gains and plan on using it for others it would hurt them. if you dont need to rev no need for it and the LS6 is more then enough. i picked my cam for the Tq they claim of it and it moves the truck well IMHO. i would htink something for youre wieght in hte high 22xs would be ideal.

I think that is debatable, there are people on here that have put 400+rwhp to this trans with no problems. However the shift forks are weak.

That must be what I've been doing! I just put in the Hurst shifter recently and I'm hoping the shift stops will keep some stress off the forks. We'll see.

After further identification of the 6.0 I bought on ebay from shramautoparts. The add was false to word that it was an LQ9. When I called the seller later it became understood that he's selling engines that he knows very little about in the sense of specifications. So, be careful what you purchase without confirming what it is exactly. The LQ4 I ended up with should do just fine for now. From what I have been reading, boosted applications like the lower compression.
